Mission: The mission of the Chess Club is to foster increased interest, participation, and enjoyment of the game of chess.
Target Group: Students in grades 6-8 with an interest in mind-sharpening competition.
Requirements: Students must abide by the rules and policies of the school including those pertaining to behavior. Students must maintain grades of As, Bs, and no more than one C. If a student already accepted into chess club drops below this requirement, they will meet with Ms. Lacoste and will be monitored over a grading period. If the grade does not improve over that time, they will no longer be able to participate until the grade improves.
