Spring Trip 2024

Attention Phillips Preparatory School parents and students: You are invited to join us on an upcoming educational travel experience to London, Paris and Barcelona during the Summer of 2024! When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and I would love to have your student join me on this adventure. Come hear all the details, including the itinerary, activities, academic opportunities, and the cost of our trip at our informational meeting on March 30 at 5 PM. The meeting will take place at Phillips Prep School. Please click here to register for the meeting ASAP to save your seat: https://bit.ly/3YO9UX3. There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity! Thank You, Mrs. Mix

Tyler Macon
Congratulations, Tyler Macon!

Each school selects a student to represent them as the Learning Leading Student of the Year. While we have SO many intelligent, hardworking, well-rounded students, we could only select one student for this award. We are proud to announce that this year's Learning Leading Award winner for Phillips is TYLER MACON! He was nominated by several of his teachers for this special recognition. Tyler has demonstrated throughout his academic career that he is hardworking and has a high standard of excellence. He has attended a magnet school his entire school career, and he has always been a standout student. Some of his accolades in middle school include being named an IB Learner of the Week, Captain of the Scholars Bowl Team, who placed 1st in Regionals and 10th in state, an award winner for the National History Day Competition where he placed 1st in state, and is a member of the track team. Awards he has received include Academic Excellence in Mathematics, Academic Excellence in Civics and World Geography, Outstanding Efforts in Language and Literature, and Academic Excellence in Science. Tyler was also selected this year by the faculty of Phillips Preparatory School to be a Top Ten IB Learner Student of the Year for the Profile Knowledgeable. He is well-rounded, well-respected, and a perfect representation of Phillips Preparatory School because he aspires to make a difference in the world. We surprised him yesterday afternoon with a schoolwide announcement. Please watch this video and help us congratulate this incredible student. Tyler, we are so very proud of you, we love you, and we look forward to what the future holds for you. Congratulations and keep up the good work! #ExcellenceByChoice #BeExtraordinary #LearningLeading Mobile County Public Schools

Archery Update

Congratulations to our Archers! They competed in MGM’s “Bad to the Bow” tournament and did so well! In addition to the team score, Dylan Jones competed in the 3D Tournament and scored a 257! His mother, Meredith Jones, shot a 261 and a 247 in 3D and placed first in the adult female competition. Special shout out to Meredith! She always helps us gather the information for our Archers so we can celebrate their achievements! Way to shoot for the bullseye, Archers!
